Rooms
A room gives you a new way of sharing your voice, camera and screen over the internet. You have your own avatar that you can click and drag around the room.
Turn on your mic, and the closer you are to someone else the louder they’ll hear you, like an in-person room. The same goes for cameras and screens, the closer you are to someone else the more visible their video becomes.
What if you want to talk to everyone at once? Turn on “Podium” mode and everyone will see and hear you clearly.
Need some silent focus time? Disconnect to mute yourself and silence incoming audio and video. When disconnected, people can see your avatar and ring you by clicking on it.
Effice
An organisation, be it a business, university, school, team or club, is actually like a tree.
It first branches departments, and from these departments branch teams, and from these teams branch projects, and then discussions, and messages, and replies, and replies to these replies…
An effice is how you finally bring this tree together in the digital world.
Once you make your effice, you can start making the tree. You can add an app such as a branch, a room or a channel.
Apps can be private so that you can filter who has access to it. You can assign admins and tailor each app to your specific needs.
Branches can represent a department, group, team … you give it your own meaning. You can then make branches within branches and move between rooms in your organisation.
